Art Gallery Clothing

Do you know the history behind Art Gallery Clothing?

In 1996 East London Mods Alex Banks and Christopher Lord formed the Art Gallery DJ Collective - featuring Lady Michelle, Flaz, Cess and ex-PPQ DJ Graeme Very - to spin a mix of 60's Soul, Beat and Psych.

Their debut night was the Beat Bubble Ball at Chinatown speakeasy The Clinic. They followed this up with a stint guesting at Paul Hallam's Popcorn night at the 100 Club on Oxford Street.

In 1997 Art Gallery returned to the Clinic and for the next five years ran the now-legendary Lordy Lord! - a club night famous for its top tunes, and for being hot, sweaty and packed to the rafters every month.

Art Gallery launched their clothing range in 1999.  The clobber has gone from strength to strength and getting better every season. The team describe their clobber as follows: A collection of Mod influenced menswear including slim fit button down shirts & knitwear inspired by the sixties.

We have stocked a few pieces over the years but we are looking to expand our Art Gallery Clothing range.  For those of you who have seen our new arrivals section, you may have spotted the following three shirts and cycling top.

AGC KEITH Cycling Shirt

The shirts are class and how sharp is that Cycling top. Keep an eye on the site during Autumn as we add to this range.
